Amalia's Residence for Elderly

[name removed] really works with the needs of her patients and family She's pretty amazing. It was a personal home, not a nursing home. Much more 1 on 1 care for less money.

Although [name removed] was combative he received personalized care. He enjoyed the home cooked meals. We liked there were only two men and six residents in this facility. There was a friendly dog patients could interact with. [name removed] was unable to participate due to his dementia. I loved the easy access to Amalia. I no longer wish to associated with A Place For Mom. Please take my name off your list immediately Thank you. It bothers me a lot you charge the facility even though I had gotten the name from a different source. I feel coerced by having to use a set number of words.

They did a great job taking care of our dad. The staff are extremely considerate and made sure that our dad had whatever he needed. The room was private and well maintained and clean. The food was excellent. They made him whatever he wanted. We would definitely recommend Amalia's to others.

It's a wonderful place. We are very happy with Mom's care there. They are kind, and caring and communicate very well. The facility is clean, welcoming, and well-run. I know my mom is safe while getting the best care. I live in NY and Mom is in California. I am a nurse and feel so relieved that mom is in Amalia's safe hands.

[name removed] is amazing in all aspects of care. I would absolutely recommend Amalia's Residence to others looking.

My Dad was diagnosed with severe dementia and I didn't know where to go and how to start the process of finding quality care for him. I started with A Place For Mom and they directed me to Amalia's Place. From day one [name removed] and her team provided exceptional care for my Dad until his passing. [name removed] went above and beyond in her care and compassion for my Dad. She is an angel. I would highly recommend Amalia's Place for the care of your loved one.

They have gone above and beyond. They're empathetic, sympathetic, and provide outstanding care. They work well with all of the members of our family as a whole. Our loved one has been a little bit of a harder to handle patient, and they've handled him just wonderfully. The facility itself is very clean and orderly, and they follow all the Covid protocols.

Our experiences with this care home has been very good. I am very pleased. Amalia is a wonderful care giver. She is very kind and sweet, she is caring for my mother very well. The home is very clean and well-kept. She cooks amazing food for the residents. There are great activities through out the week. Everything is going really good. I would recommend it.

We were looking for a place that could work with our combative father. Amalia's has been wonderful at being able to control him and still take care of his needs. It is still in beginning stages, but seems to be going very well.

My mom has been here for a year now. I am very happy with [Removed]. At first her caregivers were very friendly but in the past 6 months some are not so friendly. There are no activities offered. It is more affordable than all the others I looked into and is a nice home.

Amalia's Residence II was a very nice and clean community that we toured. The staff was very friendly and they answered all of our questions. We chose another community that worked better with our budget.

Pleased with the facility and the caregivers we met. Mom would be compatible here.

When I set my mother up here it was a wonderful place. Friendly and very caring. As time went on the caregivers told her to be quiet, refused to do anything but put her in the wheel chair, not dressing her, leaving her in Pj's all the time. Put her in front of a TV with no remote use. Rolled her to the table for meals and back to the TV. After dinner put her into bed. Every time I turned around [Name removed] was complaining about something. No activities offered. Insisted on Hospice because she couldn't go to the bathroom by herself(had to have a catheter) or bathe herself. Heaven forbid she needed to be taken to the emergency room if she fell. After being put on Hospice the monthly rent was upped even though they did less. She also was undernourished. I now have her in a caring home, no longer on Hospice and nourished and no catheter. There is a common living room where the TV is in English. They also take her to all her appointments and she is in a private room with her own TV. She now has a reason to live and they are always hugging her and kissing her and telling her they love her. They also take her to church.
