Cambridge Retirement Living

The thing that sticks out the most about Cambridge Hillside Retirement community would be the personnel, they are all extremely friendly. The apartment sizes/accommodations here are very nice sized. They also keep them very clean. I would absolutely recommend Cambridge Hillside to others looking.

We couldn't be more pleased with the facility and the care that is given. We picked this community because of, the appearance, cleanliness, and quality of care. The experience has been very good. I would highly recommend them.

We highly recommend Cambridge Hillside. Place is super clean. Staff is exceptional very dedicated to the residents and their needs. Unfortunately they are understaffed and underpaid for their skill and work.

Cambridge Pointe is a very small and intimate family run facility. For us, we just felt that our loved one was medically to severe for them to handle. But for many others I think this would be a great option for assisted living!

What was really nice is during our loved ones move in process the staff were very supportive and knowledgeable which was greatly appreciated and made things a whole lot easier. Every time we come to visit the staff know us by name, and call our loved one by their first name. The staff really display a true concern for their well being and show true love towards our loved one. The community is totally spotless and based on the experience we have had so far we would recommend them to other families. We even stop other families when they come to tour - to tell them just how excellent this community has been.

Cambridge Pointe has been a wonderful experience so far, all of the staff member are so friendly and very caring towards our loved one. Based on the experience we have had so far we would recommend them to other families.

Cambridge feels more like a hotel or spa than a "home". [Name removed], the manager, obviously loves what she does and is very good at it. The place is clean, bright, and friendly. For th e first time in a long time, I am optimistic about care for my husband.

The memory care unit is new for the community. The staff are caring and very caring towards the residents. I feel they are new and the executive director told me that the nurses and caregivers had a lot of training. I figured it would give this community a try for my loved one.

Very good staff. Clean facility. They really took care of my mother with compassion. They were saddened when she passed.

My loved one is a resident at Cambridge Creekside Retirement Community. This facility is way better than most that I have seen. It is very clean. The meals are good. The staff shows genuine concern for the people that are in their care here.

I would highly recommend it based on my research with pricing and other facility. This one provides the services I need at a good value.

The staff members we encountered were all very friendly, but during our loved ones stay the activities were still pretty limited. It also was nice to have the memory care unit separate from the other side, it seemed like they had them more under control and could look out for them better.

My mom is in the memory care unit and it is a secure facility. Right now she is in a private room so we are hoping that it can stay that way. The staff members here are very nice and attentive to my mother. They have been doing her nails and hair and do some extra things with her that we really appreciate. It would be nice to have a little more communication when the administrative staff when they change over. I have been very satisfied with the care here and I would recommend them to others who are looking.

One thing that we really liked when we were first visiting Cambridge was how our loved one could have their own room, and decorate it and set it up however they wanted. We thought that was nice since it would be more personable and homey. This community was known for having a good chef, so from what we could tell the food was excellent. We would recommend this community to another family or friend.

[name removed] is the Director and is wonderful. I think she practically lives there too. LOL I have her cell and she always answers my questions truthfully. I have seen her interact with many of the residents and she is so kind and loving and helpful. The NH used to be a motel and the individual rooms are nice and each one has a bathroom. There is also a master shower room as most residents can't or won't take one alone without assistance. The place is old, but comfortable. It is only 1/2 hr from my house in Kane. [name removed] is doing well. He was having a dislike of some foods so I talked with Karen and the head cook and we have [name removed] on the list for grinding his meats like they did in the hospital. They are very respectful of him and me. I have brought him a lot of clothes and they are having someone change him when he is wet. I had been there everyday Wed thru Sun of this past week and then on Mon, I traveled back to Philipsburg to pack some of my household things here to take to my house in Kane. I will be changing my snail mail and I have already plans in action to reschedule my computer, tv and phone. I have a new phone number there. It is [removed]. I will be up there this coming weekend. My phone here in P-burg will be turned off on Fri as that is the day my friend and I will be moving my things. I still have my cell on me. It is [removed]. My loved one lived in this community for a time, and overall I think they do a good job at Cambridge Village. The staff is professional and friendly, and they do a good job looking out for the people who live here. They're definitely worth a look if you're looking into senior care in the area.

The facility doesn't have adequate staffing. The brochure mentioned they they have a chef in staff and they do not. A lot of the food is canned food and they eat a lot of hot dogs and sandwiches. They should be upfront with the potential residents about staff shortages and how it's handled. Also, their fire extinguishers are out dated by 2 years. They could really use a handy man. They need fresh fruits and vegetables. They need to no run out of supplies like milk and butter fruit and bread paper towels. They need to ask about laundry. They are understaffed in every department. No one answers the phone. The fire alarm goes off frequently.

The food is not great. Selections are not geared to individuals conditions. The price may be in line with Industry standards, but it is very draining on patients and their family. The workers here are friendly and express concern.

Overall experience could be better. Cleanliness was appropriate. Friendliness good during the day bad at night. Workers and care needs improvement. Food was undesirable. Value for the money could be better- charged too much. Need a shuttle bus for doctor appointments. Could be more accommodations provided. Activities were ok. Better accommodations and watching patient better needed.
