Overall a Beautiful and Safe Place for a Loved One

We are very happy with Bruceville Point for our aunt, who lives independently. She is experiencing mild cognitive impairment and has refused many of the services that are offered, except one-on-one fitness training, PT, and OT. She also refuses the dining offered. We feel this is part of her dementia, not socializing except with family. The cost is high and recently increased unfortunately. She is able to afford it, but may be prohibitive for most seniors. Overall, a beautiful and safe apartment that she feels comfortable in.

We have had a very positive experience with staff and residents. Also the location is uniquely suitable, as seniors who venture out can easily walk to a local park, Trader Joe's, and other retail.

Would Recommend - Worth Looking At

Prairie City Landing was a wonderful place! My loved one decided it wasn't the right fit for her, but that had nothing to do with the community. I would highly recommend it to other families. It's a wonderful facility, and the staff were so nice. They took the time to know people's names and greet them. They were personable and appeared to really care about their residents. They did a good job communicating with family members, which was important to me. They did a great job with activities - there was always something going on. One area for improvement was the food. The food itself was great, there just wasn't enough variety. But comparable to other places, Prairie City Landing was a great deal.

Greatly satisfied customers

I visited my mother many times during the week that I was in California and was extremely pleased with the facility, her apartment, the staff and the amenities. Everybody at Bruceville Point was friendly, helpful and seemed genuinely happy in their work. My mother has been there for 2 months now and continues to be extremely happy. I am confident that she is safe, comfortable, more active than she has been in years and living her best life.

Warm welcome and smiling faces all around!

Not only is everyone so pleasant, the resident's are very social and spend every evening in the beautiful Cypress Dining room. Meals are terrific. Coconut Shrimp, pork tenderloin, fresh fish and chips always delicious. I've tried them all! Better than many restaurants I have been in for sure!

A Place Where Your Loved One Can Feel At Home

I highly recommend the community to others for their loved ones. We have had an awesome experience with Bruceville. The model they have in place and the staff make it a great place to stay. This community serves those residents that need some assistance and independent living. They provide each resident with a pendant for them to call if they need assistance. Some of the activities include art, fitness, mental awareness, entertainment, special events, and more for the residents to stay engaged with.

Brand New Facility with Happy Residents

Bruceville Point just opened this year and is brand new, so it's not fully occupied yet. But all of the residents I've encountered so far have been very friendly and engaging. I meet someone new every time I go there. The staff is friendly as well, and very attentive. It's a pet friendly community, which was a big plus for my loved one. He would not have moved there otherwise! They're even able to help with pet care, which is great, and something maybe a lot of people don't even think about. The facility is extremely clean. The food is good. It's very tasty, and they're able to accommodate a diabetic diet and have lots of great options for him. They have lots of activities on offer if you choose to participate. It is one of the pricier places, but I highly recommend it. My loved one has really enjoyed it. He feels happy and has made a home there.

This place is so nice, I wouldn't mind living here

We were going to move my Mother-in-law in here but it ultimately did not work out. However, everyone was nice and very helpful. The building is brand new and looked very clean. The rooms were very nice, small but comfortable. They offered 3 different dining rooms: a bistro, a café, and a fine dining area. The menus had a lot of options to choose from and if we ever wanted to have a party, and had a family recipe we wanted to use, we were told the cook would make it. They had a lot of activities available to participate in including a movie theater, an in-house salon and masseuse, a gym, a craft room, and they would take the residents out. There was a big-screen TV in the lobby that showed the calendar of events so you could see what events were taking place and when. It was a very nice facility.

Extremely Warm Welcome & Terrific Accommodations

We were provided the information regarding Prairie City Landing for an immediate relocation of my mom, whose home burned down suddenly in the Santa Rosa firestorm. [Removed] at Prairie City Landing was extremely helpful and accommodating, even offering a respite apartment, fully furnished, for an immediate arrival (mom escaped the fire with nothing but her pajamas). Mom has since moved into her own apartment (with one dog), which is spacious, brand new clean, and with excellent lighting. She has been enjoying the variety of social activities and field trips, and has been very happy with the quality and variety of food, musical entertainment, and other services, including access to lectures at the Folsom State College. Prairie City Landing offers preventative / wellness programs, activity and socialization, with transitional care as needed, giving our family great "peace of mind".

Prairie City Landing accidentally double-booked the same tour time, but once the tour got started my sister's reaction was very positive - new, clean, super nice. She talked to a couple of residents who said they love it at Prairie. My sister said if up to her she might indeed pick Prairie, but not sure my parents will because they are so unfamiliar with the Folsom area and were hoping to be closer to Auburn.

Nice place for your loved ones

We experienced some issues when we were going thru the signing with regard to costs and room/floor selection based on her current condition - I felt could have been explained much clearer or made known well before the signing. Didn't feel they were trying to cheat us but felt certain things needed to be made much clearer. They agreed. Her room had visible cob webs on ceiling, washing machine and microwave were dirty when she moved in. The lighting and switches are awful (too dim, go low or off at inopportune times, difficult to operate). Most issues have been resolved. Obviously the cost is very high. We seem to have worked out most of the communication issues and she is safe. Are they perfect? No, but they are willing to listen and work with us.

a pleasent place that the works hard to make it pleasent for you

The activities director and the staff have worked hard during covid to keep everyone engaged and make things enjoyable for the residence. I would recommend this community to others. I am very happy that I have a full kitchen because I love to cook.
