Alder Leaf Assisted Living

We visited several homes before making a decision. The Administrator of the Alder Leaf site was professional, experienced and able to share a great deal of knowledge and resources when needed, even though she was running two sites and not always at Alder Leaf. Once we selected this site for our Mother, it was critical to take time to review the CONTRACT carefully and contact the Administrator with questions about things not covered in writing. Although we expected our Mother to live much longer than she did, Alder Leaf turned out to be the perfect fit for the remaining months of our Mother's life. Although the location was not near our preferred hospital, the facility was ideal in all other ways. We were impressed by the staff and the fact that some had been employed there for a while. They provided residents with professional care, courtesy and dignity; obviously this demeanor started at the top with the Administrator. It did feel more like a home, less than a nursing facility and was well kept. When visiting we always felt Welcomed by the staff and our Mother was especially pleased on the days when dogs came with staff to visit.

Our family had an exceptional experience with Alder leaf at Summit Shadows. The care givers were very kind and compassionate to my father and based on the experience we had, we would recommend them to other families who may need their services.

Alder Leaf at Summit Shadows was a wonderful place for my loved one. My loved one has passed away, so she is no longer a resident, But everyone was very kind and supportive of her needs. I would recommend this facility to others.

My loved one is currently a resident at Alder Leaf at Summit Shadows. The staff is very friendly and always welcoming when visiting. I'm not sure about the food, but we have heard no complaints. The staff and RN are always letting us know of any issues or concerns. I would recommend this facility to friends and family.

I have and will continue to direct people/ friends /family to Alder Leaf if ever there is a need for their care. We toured a few places, and the intimate home like atmosphere was superior over anything else we saw. Alder Leaf has a family setting, well connected to additional resources, and the collaborative approach to my Dad's care was stellar. Alder Leaf was a godsend to our family and my Dad.

Both my family and I are very pleased with the care our loved one has received at Alder Leaf at Hasting Farms. The staff and residents are friendly. The food and activities are wonderful for the residents. Overall, this is a community I would recommend to others for their loved ones.

The very best of caregivers work here. My mother resided here for 1 1/2 years. They were wonderful with her. She was treated as family. We highly recommend this home.

Our loved one was only there for a couple of months, and we just cannot say enough good things about Alder Leaf. We had such a wonderful experience, we could not of picked a better place for our father. They took such great care of him, the owner and staff team just amazed our family immediately, they really just put our family at ease.

The staff was wonderful and the director was just awesome. They were friendly and compasionate. communication between the staff and our family was very good. They kept us well informed and up to date. The community was smaller and they were very encouraging to the residence I would recommend this community to others based on my experience.

Placing my dad at Alder Leaf was the best decision I could have made. The home was warm and welcoming and I really felt like I was with family. The owner and staff went above and beyond to make my dad feel at home and give me peace of mind. He was there to recover from surgery but was ultimately the home where he passed. I am so grateful to the wonderful staff and can't thank them enough for caring for the both of us.

We’re moving my mother from a big facility in to this smaller community, where the caregiver to resident ratio is much smaller. This will be much more intimate and family oriented. Met with [name removed] and [name removed] to tour the house. We went over the paperwork, requirements, expectations, etc. Both [name removed] & [name removed] are professional & friendly. They answered every question fully & made us feel comfortable. I wish we had found them sooner!

My grandmother was in Alder Leaf and it was the best place she had been in for the last 3 years. She passed away there and I feel like that in her situation there was no better place to be. The staff and [name removed] the manager was loving and caring. The previous homes did not give her the love and care, she was just another number. I highly recommend Alder Leaf.

I have had my grandmother in a few different assisted living homes over the last 3 years. Finally found the one that really cared and took good care of her. [name removed] the manager and her staff was very kind and understanding. She really cares about your loved one and only wants the best. Unfortunately my grandmother passed away, but I am thankful that she passed away with someone who cared and loved her like their own family by her side as I was out of state and was unable to get back there in time.

Alder Leaf was the best place for my grandmother. The staff is awesome! Cares for your family member as if their own. The home is very clean, beautifully furnished. All the residents have their own private room and their prices are very reasonable. Yummy meals, desserts and snacks offered. The staff treated my grandmother and the other residents with the upmost dignity and respect. I highly recommend Alder Leaf to anyone that is looking for an assisted living home for their loved ones.

We had to quickly move my mom out of senior living into an assisted living facility. Alder Leaf was one of the recommended options. Called and spoke to [name removed]. She was so very helpful and caring. She interviewed my mom within a few days and they hit it off! Moved mom in the next week. I’m so glad we did because as it turned out the pandemic hit the next week. The house is beautiful and the staff is absolutely wonderful! It is a brand new home and very large, but a very homey setting.

The house was very clean and the rooms are nice a size. The staff members are very pleasant. The meals are good and have good variety. They have one on one interaction between the residents and the staff. There is a nice outdoor space. I chose it because in was convenient location, it was very clean, and they were willing to work me.

They just got new owners. Will have to wait and see how they are to run things now.

We had a good experience at Alder Leaf. There was one week where they were short-staffed, and the staff were complaining about it. But other than that, the staff were amazing, and they loved my mom. She had the same caregivers while she was there, and having that consistency was great. The house was beautiful. And the area was very nice - it was in a gated community. I would definitely recommend it to other families.
