Avamere

My mother is a resident at Gilman Park for 8 years. She lived a full life and had some ups and downs at Gilman Park, until I met [name removed]. What a fire cracker she is, full of life and full of energy. Very compassion about the quality of life that each residents deserves at Gilman Park. I visited my mother quite often either during the week or during the weekend, this lady is always there. The community looks clean and fresh, residents looks good and happy, lots of laughter and socialization. When Covid-19 hit the state of Oregon, [name removed] did not back down, but in full gear of making sure that my mother was safe and all other residents of Gilman Park. I cannot tell you how I appreciate the hard work that this lady put forward to make sure my mom is safe, other residents and employees. [name removed], thank you, thank you so much for all the hard work, countless hours you spend at Gilman Park. It shows how great you are as person, an executive director and a role model for all. Nice community friendly staff. This is written September 2020 during virus some activities like bus trip activities are not allowed right now. Community bus does take you to doctors appointments. But still have exercise class, chair yoga social hours, happy hours, Bingo, movies and other activities. In Suburbs trees cattails. I'm in what I call a deluxe suite 2 bedroom me and my bird Brandy love it. I had to take Care of a 100% care daughter for 24 years and a 80% care wife for ten years till they both passed. Now with my disabilities it is like a cruise ship and I'm being taken care of. I looked at a lot of facilities in a 100 mile radius from were I lived God's country but no services there this was one of the few that would even think of taking me with my disabilities. Spokane has all the doctors Hospitals about anything you need is within 5 miles of facility 80-90 % within 2 miles. When you are looking for a place first question should be what are facilities discharge policies Financial level of care for example.

They like their apartment but it could use some updating. The food is concerned okay to pretty good and they offer a variety. The building is clean and well cared for. My parents have made friends and enjoy visiting with other residents as well. There were a lot of activities to chose from like bingo, art projects, excursion, and groceries store trip before COVID. We chose this community because of availability and they allow pets which was important for my parents.

I live here and I am very satisfied. The staff is caring and helpful. My room is large and comfortable. The dining hall and public areas have been decorated nicely and are brightly lit so we feel good about being here

I cannot say enough great things about the care and compassion my mother receives at this facility. I highly recommend Avamere at Newberg.

My mother at 97 was at Aspen Ridge. The kindness of the entire staff was exemplary. During her passing, they kept the quiet sacred space, visited her often. Even the director kissed her on the forehead. They took care of every detail to make our life easier including a smooth relationship with hospice. After her passing, some of the staff went in one by one to say a prayer and let her know how much she meant to them. many of the staff even came up to me to tell me that my mother changed their lives by her example. The love for my mother was beyond words. I cannot express enough how wonderful the staff is as Aspen Ridge memory care.

Very nice building and friendly staff. No change of rooms if Mom needs to add services. We will bring her to visit Avamere

I really liked Avamere. Now to convince Dad that he is ready to move.

My dad has lived in Avamere for over one year. Our family decided to move him out of [removed] due to our compounding concerns for his safety, the serious under staffing at that establishment, and the blatant denial and lack of concern exhibited by their management. We have found Avamere management to willingly work with our dad on how he wants to assistance in care. After a small set back in his health they have even temporarily provided service to see if he really needs the additional “points” added to his plan. He gets the care that he pays for. The staff are clean and friendly, the establishment is clean - it could use some freshening up but after prior experience, we would not trade a fancy facade for true care and attention for our dad.

My father lived at Aspen Ridge Memory Care in Bend, OR, for 6 years. In his time with this organization, I always felt content that he was part of their family. Memory care is a difficult business, but under the current management team, I have witnessed an esprit de corps within the ranks that allows a coordinated effort to provide quality care for its residents. The Activities Director strives to provide program enrichment and excursions to those residents able to participate. When Dad passed in October 2018, the compassion and care to our family was exemplary.

I appreciate everything about this community. The food is delicious and staff very caring. Activities are fun and constructive.

Need better food selection and improved cooking.

My parents have lived at the oaks for four years, first in the independent care on the assisted care unit. We are very satisfied with both the facility and those who work there. I was at my parents almost every day so I've seen a lot.

The oats facility and staff are outstanding!! They are professional, very attentive, caring and provide the highest quality of living. The food is fabulous and provide a well-balanced nutritional menu. The facility is clean and very well-kept up.

What a fun atmosphere! The staff is friendly and so caring. The people that live there are so happy and joyful. I ate there and thought it was fantastic, love the salad bar

This community was clean. People smiling, residents looked good. The management team at that community are wonderful to talk to. Would recommend going forward.

My loved one is deeply cherished by the staff at ARMC. The care staff are attentive, thoughtful, kind and hard working. The management is involved in the lives of their residents and strive to have genuine connection with those living in their community. We feel lucky to have found such a great community!

Very lovely, large place with a waiting list for their small (6 unit? assistant living. I was told when I called those accepted were normally already there as residents.Independent living was quite large with many amenities and a wonderful setting. Much too large over all for me.

My mother moved into The Stafford 10 years ago as one of it's very first residents. And what a fulfilling relaxed time it has been. At every stage of her slowly declining health, she was marvelously attended, and not just her physical needs. Every day was filled with choices of different things to do; fun lunches and tours at a Portland locale, practical trips weekly around town to grocery shop, etc. Attention to her needs were always met, but it was invisible to her. Every visit was accompanied by friendly informative conversations. The staff is fantastic, the facilities are exceptional and I'd encourage everyone to explore The Stafford. Although your needs are likely to be different, The Stafford will easily meet them and add so much more.

The Stafford is a beautiful and welcoming place. It feels like a home. The staff feels like family and is always quick to help or offer an encouraging word or something to laugh about. It is a happy atmosphere that feels like the staff is there because they want to be and like being there rather than It is just a place to work. The food is excellent and the activities are engaging and fun. It is an added bonus having the salon, caretakers and physical therapy on site.
