After my father passed away my family and I wanted to move my mom closer to all of us . She was unable to live alone and in home care wasn’t an affordable option . I didn’t know where to begin my search so I was referred to a placement company called “Care Patrol” which helps families find the facility that best suits a persons needs . We looked at several assisted living facilities but when we requested an active senior living facility Brightwater Senior living was recommended to us and after taking a tour of Brightwater I instantly knew we had found my moms new home . Brightwater takes a personal interest in each and every resident from their medical care to personal care , comfort and entertainment. There are A wide variety of activities for social interaction. And the rooms are comfortable and private. The staff is friendly and treat the residents like family . I would recommend Brightwater Senior Living of Highland to anyone who has a loved one who needs 24 hour care . Mom is extremely happy .

I really like having my parents here. We’re still in the early stages of trying to figure a few things out. As far as the food, the care, the friendliness of the people, and the facility is concerned, we couldn’t be happier. There are 2 specials each day for lunch and dinner that you can choose from but if you don’t like what they have to offer than there are set things you can choose each time. With all of the meals there’s a huge variety of sides that you can get. My parents are very comfortable with the staff coming in to help with their medications and the people are very friendly. The facility is extremely clean and you can set out garbage anytime. Housekeeping comes once a week and changes the bedding and cleans the entire apartment. Every Friday night they have a happy hour, they’ll take the residents out to various places like different restaurants and sightseeing places, and there are always activities going on. The price you pay each month is all inclusive and they don’t really have to pay extra for things at the moment. However, this facility has memory care within it so my parents will be able to stay if either of them needs to be moved there. I would absolutely recommend them.

Victoria Park is hands down the best Assisted Living option in Regina! Just walking into the community feels like one big "hug". The staff are the most caring, loving and attentive staff I have ever experienced. It is extremely well-run with caring, knowledgeable managers on site 7 days a week. My mom has been living at Vic Park for 5 years now and each year gets better and better. The staff have worked with her mobility since she moved in and she has gone from a wheelchair to now walking with a walker independently. I would highly recommend this community to anyone that truly cares about the health and well-being of their loved one!!

Mom and Dad had a rough first month since moving into Brightwater. They are finally starting to settle in and the staff have been helpful. The food is good and they offer a wide variety. They have many activities for my parents to participate in when they are ready.

Facility is very nice, clean and inviting. Staffing is ok when they can get a full staff. Having a difficult time getting and keeping staff. A lot of changes happen. Some things of the staff are not very friendly to residents and guests. Too many temporary staff called in and do not know the residents or how things are done.

We reviewed and toured several assisted living facilities for our parents. Brightwater by far had the best care services including 24 hour nursing care, doctor who comes on site weekly, connected to pharmacy that delivers . They have an excellent meal plan with options outside of the daily specials. The staff are kind & compassionate and helpful. Our parents are enjoying their time living at Brightwater. Staff will go out of their way to be helpful. It is a relief to know our parents are being well cared for at this facility.

Brightwater is clean, bright, and friendly environment. The staff cares and works hard, but in my opinion there needs to be an increase in staff members. We are happy having our mother here.

Brightwater is a beautiful facility. My mom is very happy there. I think just getting staffing is something they need to improve on, but I believe that is difficult everywhere right now.

We really liked the facility and the lady who gave the tour. We met a sweet lady who lived there who was nice but [name removed] would have had to share a bathroom and that wasn't going to happen. That is the only reason we did not choose it.

There is a current problem with not enough staffing in dining room. They need to do better on orientation of residents on how things work. It's been a very good experience.

When we go to visit our loved one we always see plenty of activities going on which is great. We do understand staffing is an issue so the meals and dining is suffering because of it - the meats are a little tough but they have recently changed chefs which it is getting better. Also sometimes the response time is a little slower but we are hoping once they staffing issue gets better everything else with follow suit,

Housekeeping is short staffed. Weekly room cleaning & laundry service are adequate. Could be better. LVN & RA support. Slow response time to request for support. We wish could show more creativity in development of activities and encouraging residents to participate Overall is a little pricey Experience has been- Services are inconsistent; have to constantly check in at facility to ensure Mom is OK. I had hoped for more support and peace of mind when I am not with Mom.

Mt. Bachelor is awesome. They've been very helpful, very caring, and very responsive whenever we have a need. They have wonderful opportunities for activities if the residents choose to take advantage of them. The facility is beautiful. It's a great place, it's just very expensive.

Times when we go visit and she hasn't changed her clothes often. She does dress herself, but believe staff does help at times just wish would mention to her to change more often. Pleased with food options, she does like the food. She is eating more than at her previous spot. She does great with coloring and art class as she was an artist and very talented so this program has been wonderful. She took first place in the contest. Staff is great with helping in all facets of the care.

I love living at Varenita. I've made many friends and have had wonderful experiences. Since it is a new facility i believe I will be able to give my rating a give

My loved one loved the community. The staff were able to get my loved one into activities and they were great to work with. The family being an advocate for our loved one, really helped with making sure our loved one was taken care of. The staff communication was good, it was hard to figure out who to reach out to, for specific needs such as laundry. The communication with the staff was more verbal than written. Some of the care the community provides include: medication management, housekeeping, dressing, and hygiene care for the residents. My loved one or the family would have to mention a concern and the staff would not be immediately taken care of. It was longer than my loved one or family wanted to get the things our loved one needed done, in some cases.

At Cedarview, there can be a lack of professionalism in some areas. If a manager has a "beef" with someone it should be private and not open or addressed in the dining or activities room. I've only been here a short while, and some residents have said the quality of the food has gone down. There's a lot of beef, chicken, and pork, it's processed meat. There's lots to choose from and nothing necessarily wrong with the food. No ones going to go hungry. Sometimes what's on the menu doesn't match what's being served, that's not a big deal with me, but may be to others. There's an ala carte menu on the back of the regular menu, but I have a hard time getting specific sides. I know its there because it comes in daily and it's always there, but they'll tell me they don't have it even if its on the menu. Most times someone else will go and get it for me. If they won't be able to provide those things, then they maybe shouldn't add it on the menu. There's always something going on with the activities. There's not a lot of visitation with the activities, which is to no fault of the community or the activities director. It's more so what the residents are interested in. For example: bingo has high a attendance rate, while some other activities may not be as desired. I'm very happy with the location of my room, I'm happy I'm allowed to have my pet here. I also like that I have easy access to the outside. Cedarview is a beautiful place, but I can't compare it to many places. I have no complaints - there's just some professionalism that needs to be displayed in regards to calling others out in shared spaces.

This community was nice but there was another community that we felt worked better for my loved one over all. The tour was great and they gave me all of the information that I needed and I was able to see everything that I needed.
