More value and personal choices than most. Nice apartments and affordable. The only place found that offered what I was looking for. Some of the other places were actually very frightening.

The facility is a great independent retirement option. There are a few issues at Shawnee facility: side security doors are not functioning and are kept open at all hours. It is a concern given increasing area criminal activities. When questioned about implementing security, replies assure the system will be fixed by “next month”. The problem predates years advanced of my becoming a renter per other renters.

I am glad that I moved here. The manager helped gave me the information to call and set up my utilities and cable accounts. There is an easy system to request maintenance assistance and they have responded within 24 hrs. Emergency maintenance is also available with a phone call. There are residents who have been here awhile and act as a goodwill ambassador if I have any questions. There is a gym and group activities for those who wish to participate and socialize with other residents

I really enjoy being able to live, travel, and know my neighbors, without being fearful of my home being in any trouble or lack of security.

I am a resident at Connect55 Plus Kansas City. I would recommend this facility to others. The place is clean and everyone is friendly. The staff is great. There are no meals here. Though, sometimes they have a potluck and some residents will come down. They have activities during the day for people who are home during the day. I haven't been to any.

I am currently a resident at Connect55 Plus Shawnee and things have been very good for me here so far. The cleanliness and friendliness are good. The staff, activities and value for cost are also good. The other residents and staff are friendly and the new manager is very good. I would recommend Connect55 Plus Shawnee to family and friends.

The residents here are very nice and friendly, also the apartments are really nice. I do think the value for cost is excellent, we have great amenities and a really nice fitness room.

I chose The Springs at Independence because of the security, to me it seems to be a very secure facility. Also the staff members are very friendly, especially the manager, she knows everybody name. I am very happy with my apartment size, they are very spacious.They also provide a washer and dryer in the units which has been very convenient. I would recommend, I am very happy here.

Eagle Crest and my mom has been a good match. She has been there almost a year now, and has settled in nicely. My siblings and I are pleased with the cleanliness, security and quality of employee's and residents. Mom had been living alone out of state and is glad to be here. She likes the no pressure to participate as much or as little she is comfortable with. Thank you to A Place for Mom for being available and so helpful with such an important part of life.

Steve Rothenberg was GREAT. He made us feel very comfortable. Very clean and tidy common areas. They offered us about 1 1/2 months free rent and free washer/dryer stack. 3rd floor apartment elevation eliminates traffic noise while using deck. Very small floor plan, 890 sq ft. We would have to give up wife's family heirloom furniture to fit in this apartment. Will need to see other places, as moving J in wheelchair was very tight.

Michael was extremely helpful and patient. The facility looks practically brand new! Dad seemed to really like the apts. after touring. The location is also very convenient.

We found Fairway Pointe to be very much every thing that we were looking for in an apartment for our senior years. It is a very clean, friendly and pet friendly complex. The outside is very nicely landscaped.

We went without air conditioning from June on and it is still not fixed we were monetary compensated but I has to run a indoor one. I am good. I still like living here although I did not know the rent goes up every year cause it is market value based so don't know how long I will be able to afford it

In general my sister & I enjoy the apartment, security & interactions. This facility just lost their Actuvities Director & they’re interviewing for replacement now. Main issue is not enough Handicap parking spaces and not enforcing ones that are parking illegally. They should also enforce the amount of dogs & cats per each apartment.

We have been without any general management off and on for a couple of months. The residents are wonderful. Activities are varied and enjoyable. We don't have food service but we do have a lot of pot luck dinners. At present we don't have any staff at this location. We have new staff starting [date removed]. Cleanliness is average and some residents have maintenance problems. The cost to live here is very affordable compared to other independent facilities . I would suggest that one would see if the management of the facility or any facility be checked before making a decision.

We have a staff turnover every month or two. They could improve by fixing the repairs needed such as the roof leaks.

I like the location. [name removed] and [name removed] are very nice. The apt is ok except for the refrigerator. It's way too small. What I don't like : There is no energy. I'm an active person. This place is bringing me down.

It's apartment living and I had noisy neighbors. they no longer had a cleaning service maintenance man had to clean and fix everything. everyone was nice and looked out for one another. it's not an assisted living so there wasn't really care provided I don't think I was 60 so didn't require any but I guess some people had care givers come in. Administrative staff - I was told she doesn't like to deal with issues when I was having issues with my noisy neighbors it wasn't really addressed. meals were not provided we had potlucks and pizza parties. there were quite a few activities provided not very well attended unless food was provided!! Fitness center on sight was adequate. most people think it's pricey I thought it wasn't too bad considering everything was included. Hope this helps. In theory I would definitely recommend it in reality it didn't work out for me because of the apartment living and noise issues. If someone is older over 70 and looking for a place I would recommend it's s safe place and people look out for one another

A very nice place , lots of activities for residents , safe walking areas. The staff are very friendly and helpful.

There is only one ramp and that's at the front door so it's challenging to people with walkers or wheelchairs because if they live elsewhere in the building, they have to figure out how to get there equipment over the curb everywhere else. They are slow repairing things sometimes. They only have elevators at each end of the buildings so anyone living somewhere in the middle has to walk a long way to the elevator unless they can take the stairs down or up. There is a. 30 pound limit on dogs. I will say that the apartments are pretty decent not a luxury hotel but they're decent.
