[name removed] the manager was so absolutely incredible. She answered so many questions that we didnt even know that we had. This is a stressful time in life and she really made us feel so comfortable.

It's open concept, bright colors and lots of light looks very nice. During the tour, the residents looked to be happy and engaged within the community. I watched staff engage with the residents and family members that were there. I believe when my father moves in, he will be happy being with people around his age and that makes me feel at peace.

This facility and staff were wonderful. We made the decision to move my mother in that day. The facility offered all of the necessary amenities that we were looking for my mother.

Facility is beautiful, clean and new. It is more “hotel like” than homey. Like that the independent living folks and assisted living people co-mingle. Can’t get past the move in fee of $[removed].

[name removed], the agent who interviewed us and took us on the tour, was very helpful and gave us a lot information. The apartments had modern appliances and were very pleasant. The only downside I saw was there was no stove in the kitchen. Of course all your meals are in the cafeteria and there is no need of a stove. We ate lunch in the cafeteria and the food was ok but not great. That, of course, probably varies from day to day. It's location is close to many shops. There is small bus that a resident can take to do their shopping. There are planned activities for residents and comfortable sitting rooms for personal visits or games. My friend that I took there likes it and is planning on moving in soon.

Discovery Commons is a very nice and extremely clean facility. I would love to move my father there. Sadly, he financially can’t afford it. It was, by far, the nicest place we’ve toured.

If you are willing to participate in activities you will meet friendly people who are ready to have a good time, enjoy life. The staff, also friendly, want to make sure your stay here is good and enjoyable. We have movie night every night and the resident in charge chooses the showings. Some residents like to grow vegetables and access is made available for them. If you have a particular interest that is not available, talk to the staff, they’ll work with you to see if it can be arranged.

The staff was incredibly knowledgeable about the facility and were able to answer any and all questions we had concerning my mother-in-law’s care.

My uncle was a resident there for a brief moment. I had wished he were there longer. The people who work there are truly kind to both the residents and their guests. I did not have to worry of him or if he were being cared for. They included everyone in every thing. The only downfall - which is partially my fault - was losing his items. I didn’t think to put his name on EVERYTHING. His clothes hamper, bed sheets, and some clothes were lost. LABEL EVERYTHING.

Everyone I met was very knowledgeable and kind. The place seemed very clean. The patrons were content and doing activities. We loved the pond feature with ducks.

Discovery Village is nestled in a beautiful wooded area in Farmington, CT, with a lovely pond in the back. It is immaculate, the structure of the programs is varied and well-suited for elderly. The staff are attentive and respond to communications right away. My mom moved in, in Sept. and we couldn’t be happier. She has a resident Ambassador to help her navigate her new environment. Two thumbs up!

Wonderfully pleased with this facility. Would be hard pressed to find a negative.

The staff here is so helpful and friendly! Love everyone here! And I love the fact that residents can have a pet. This makes it feel like a real home. And there is a fish pond in the front. So nice to sit and watch the fish.

I toured Arbor View Assisted Living and was at first turned off by all the stains on the carpet. But then I asked about it and was told they are renovating. New paint carpet, furniture, everything. It made me feel 100% better. As of right now, they have painted, but still waiting on new carpeting. I loved their 1 bedroom for my grandmother. Unfortunately, they currently do not have a 1 bedroom available, but my grandmother is the first one on the list. One of the reasons I chose Arbor View was how nice the staff was. Laura gave me the time on the phone. [name removed] gave me the time in person. Besides the carpets, which are being fixed, friendly staff is why my grandmother will be living at Arbor View.

[name removed] was so helpful and gave me great advice for how to help my mom accept her new apartment since she had her own home for over 40 years. I can’t thank him enough for his time patience and experience with this type of situation. Thank you so much!!!

I moved into Marbella about a month ago and I was waiting to leave a review incase anything bad happened, but everything has been amazing. The staff and residents are happy and engaging. I am making friends and look forward to the outings we do here in town.

The place is beautiful and the staff is amazing. My dad was there this whole last year and really loved it. They treated him with respect, were very professional, kind and loving. I can’t say enough how wonderful this place is.

We are in the process of planning to reside at the Discovery Village as soon as I can sell my condominium

I thoroughly researched and visited multiple facilities in the area. After my exhaustive search, we settled on Discovery Commons. My mom moved into this facility and we are so happy. Wonderful place, I strongly recommend.
