overall a nice community

The staff is very friendly and seem to have a connection with him. They have been very pleasant when I visit. Place is pretty clean. He always has clean clothes and person hygiene has been very good as well. They always contact me if he has any major issues as if he falls or is having a rough time. [name removed](I think) is always available for any questions that I have or may arise. Overall very happy with them.

Divine Life

The staff seem to be short handed, but they are all wonderful people . When it comes to activities anything would be nice. From what I've seen the residents don't really have anything but TV. I realized that it's a memory care facility and a lot of the residents are limited on what they can do, but there's got to be something for the residents to help occupy their time and help with their mental health.

Review for Divine Nest Assisted Living

There were and are staffing issues. New manager recently doing much much better. It is expensive for no medical staff on site, rooms small, meals, activities. They have been good to my dad and he is kept clean. I like that there are only 20 residents so more care is able to be given. This facility is in Williamston, which is a very nice small town.

Community Tour

Divine Nest was a completely different environment than the other places we toured. It was a smaller community, and we felt it wasn’t broad enough for what we were looking for. We wanted our loved one to be able to meet lots of people, go out and do things, and have a broader social experience.

a great place for a loved one

The community is great and it's small enough for more personalized attention. Nice outdoor setting for residents to enjoy. The community ios neat and clean and I would recommend this community to others based on my experience.

A good tour

This seemed like a nice small community when we visited. The staff we met were nice and the community seemed clean. This community is by a busy street. I did like the layout of the first community we looked at a little better.

New Life Recommendation

This small (11 capacity) friendly home has been ideal for our Mom. She has dementia and was fearful in her home. She knows someone is there for her 24 hours a day and this has given her a sense of comfort. She loves her new home and is making friends with staff and residents alike! We looked at larger settings for her and while they were beautiful and had many amenities, we felt she would have been lost in a large setting like that. I can't say enough about the staff and owners at New Life. They have a mission of care and love and it shows each and every visit I have been there to visit Mom. I would recommend this home to anyone seeking a homelike safe setting for their loved one.

Friendly, Caring Community

This is a smaller community with low staffing. They are very caring, and I would trust them again with my loved one. The communication tends to be mediocre; however, they are good about calling if there is an incident with my loved one. I do wish there was more communication about medical needs of my loved one and what the medical team says about my loved one.

Positively impressed with the staff!!

We took a tour of this community and it was not clean as the community we chose. The menu did not look as well as the other community. The community is small and seemed crowded.

Poor

My father was there for over 2 years. I didn't have many options because of Covid and finances. After 2 years of trying to get help with Medicaid and the Va, emailing the president about his issues financially with no response and I had to remove my father because of the financials I discover that they cashed a check, that was actually sent mistakenly as a double payment because he said they hadn't received a payment in July of 2023. So in due diligence as my fathers financial representative I sent another. Obviously he had both and I just discovered he cashed the second check on [date removed]. A check he assured me he would destroy. Extremely poor communication, if your relying on the Medicaid Waiver for assistance do your research and look for an area where the waitlist is not 8 months long and they are out there. I had little to no assistance or guidance about options even when I emailed requesting help.

First impression - although our appointment for tour had been confirmed via email, nobody knew we were coming. Walking in to building - the floor was dirty and it felt cluttered and dark. The building was old and worn. Visit left a very bad impression.

Couldn’t send a love one here

Upon arriving I walk in and was greeted by no one. Staff was on phone with owner who was yelling so I went looking for someone else. Only one staff member working at this time. Which concerned me greatly. The person I scheduled with forgot. Staff member gave me a quick tour as she was working. I was able to walk around myself and if I had any questions to ask. Came around dinner, frozen food was being prepared. Patients were in chairs with tv. The building wasn’t disgusting but not very clean. I did not see any activities of lists of events. The menu is a 4 week rotation. The lady showed me the menu and pantry. Lots of frozen and boxed food. If fresh is your thing this is not the place. She said they are not allowed to make many food substitutions, and no extra food. Families are responsible for extra servings. All rooms were different which I liked. They even had a pink room which I thought was too much. Never got a call back to reschedule.
