We were very impressed from the first time we went to Bellevue. All the staff AND residents that we passed said "Hi". And they all seemed cheerful and happy. The public rooms are spacious and inviting. Expecially, mom seems to be more perky and sociable!!

Things have gone very well at HarborChase so far! It is just the sort of place we were looking for. They don't offer a lot of "frills" here, but the basic care they provide is excellent. The staff are very respectful and understanding of the challenges faced by their residents. The help they provide is low-key, practical, and down-to-earth, which always my loved one to feel relaxed and comfortable here. The residents and staff are all very friendly, and they've got a good variety of activities to keep everyone engaged and social, Mom is really enjoying herself here!

The carpet in the main living areas, is stained and could use some cleaning or a replacement. Everything else is pretty clean. The base price is fine, and they don't have a menu, for an a la carte deal, If you have any kind of assistance, like have having someone remind you to come to activities, then you are charged a level of care. Which is a flat rate and kind of high. The food is pretty good. They have a good amount of activities. The activities director is really personable, and talks to my mom too, not just to me. I think she is pretty happy there.

I am so glad we found Fox Point Manor. My mom was in memory care. All the staff was warm, caring and kind. I can't say enough about them! They did an outstanding job attending to her personal, mental and health needs. She always was treated with dignity and respect. We too felt part of the Fox Point Manor family.

Sometimes the communication is not that great. I'm still trying to get my dad his depends that they said they would get through medicare/the VA. My dad has internet that he doesn't need but that's a comcast problem I guess. I found that it's a lot of follow up, talking to people in the office and the staff and over here and over there to try to get everything together. That's been a problem.

Incredible place for the residents they serve. My father is not at that level yet but if he was, they tend to the clients very well

It is my opinion that most of the assisted independent living places in Wisconsin with a few exceptions of lousy food, but the rest of the accommodations are OK. I would recommend it, if people had a full kitchen in their apartment and we're able to do some cooking to supplement the food that was very good at the lunchroom.

Warm, homey environment with lots of natural light. Caring staff. Lots of activities. The only area for improvement is the food service and quality of food. This staff has turned over several times. Just hasn't quite gotten traction for a steady meal service staff. The quality of the food is such that I am not willing to eat it.

The staff are very good and care about the residents. Yes I would recommend it to others who may be searching for a place for their loved one. My grandmother was here years ago and now my mother. I like that it is a smaller place so there's more of a personalized approach.

It is a small community and they all know each other. Yes, we would recommend Encore at Mahtomedi to other families based on the experience so far.

Not having a bus limits activities and opportunities for residents. Food is not locally produced so residents complain that is not appealing. Administration of the Champlin facility appears to struggle with corporate when it comes to communication.

My Dad looks forward to each new day. His meals, meds and fun opportunities are available for him at Encore. It has a very homey atmosphere and yes, we would recommend Encore at Maplewood to other families based on the experience so far.

Make sure you sit down with the nurse & say exactly what you want done & how the "patient" responds to caregiver--work towards engaging your person with caregiver so they communicate & understand each other.

We feel the facility & staff are the best we've experienced. This is a lively, happy place & everyone has been so nice to us & especially my mother in law. The Doctor has been wonderful- he actually calls us & talks to us & gives genuine Healthcare direction. We have felt very at ease having our family member here.

Staff is very helpful and informative as to how she was doing , activities, eating habits , etc .

Already have recommended them to others. I would also highly recommend Intrepid Hospice who were with my loved one for nearly four years and treated her while she was at Encore. Already have recommended them to others. Care staff was very good to my mother and always checked on her regularly because she preferred to stay in her room. Breakfast always better than dinner.

My mother-in-law is settling in nicely in her new place. She enjoys all the people around her each day but still has her own place to retreat. All in all it has been a good experience for her and the whole family.

We really like the place, but there could be improvements on the activities. For the most part, the staff/care givers are great. Most seem to like their job, & are caring to the residents.

I would give a 4 for all of them. However when our uncle passed it was hospice that called us. The people at the facility not once reached out with any type of condolences!!! Not ONE word !!! Left a sour taste! It was like come get your stuff and move on especially since he been there over a year. Plus they had switched his new recliner with some other client (?) as they felt a different one worked better. The one he had in his room when he passed was old and stained. I questioned them and they never gave us an acceptable response. Very odd!!! So in some cases if you aren't there or your loved one can't speak beware !!!

Don't let them talk you into letting them handle the medication, if family is capable to take their medication themselves. Not enough staff on weekends.
