GoodLife Senior Living and Memory Care

Nothing but a good experience. The food is absolutely great! The people are very kind and considerate! It's a smaller home with only 15 residents, but it's very nice. It's well kept and extremely clean. Everybody seems to be receiving the absolute best care, and it's just overall a very nice place.

We chose Goodlife Senior Living because of the convenience as well as we got a good first impression from them. The room sizes here are good, she has all of her belongings that fit in her space well. The outside patio and the rockers are very nice and it makes it homey for residents so they can be outside when they want to. I would recommend to others looking.

I LOVE LOVE LOVE Good Life Senior living and Memory Care in Amarillo!!!! It is a small cottage with fifteen rooms and I think the majority if not all are large private rooms. The administrator and staff are wonderful and stay in contact with me. Love the open concept of the dining room, living room and kitchen. I feel like he is getting the best care possible! This facility has met everything on my checklist!

It seems to be a very caring community and it is not too big. He seems to get good attention as well. The main manager is wonderful. She is very communicative, understands what we are going through, and is very responsive, I would recommend this community to other families with no reservations.

The hardest thing I ever had to do was trust strangers for the care of my wife when he alzheimer's got to be more than I could handle. I visited Goodlife no less than three times and spoke with the director as well as the staff RN, asking when do you know it is time to place a loved one in care. They were both understanding and explained if I was as stressed as I looked and was thinking of care it was probably well past time for help. I was very pleased with the care attention given my wife along with the love displayed by the entire staff. They cared for my wife as if she was a family member, and believe me I would know as I was there everyday and at different times, my daughter locally and granddaughter would also go by to visit and check on my wife. Whenever, I had a issue I addressed it with the director and corrective action was taken. Most of the time issues were not patient related by maintenance type issues. I even referred my neighbor to place his 100 plus year old mother to the facility.There was a staff RN on duty Monday-Friday,the care takers were mainly young females who showed love and compassion to my wife as well as myself and family members. Holidays, birthdays etc. were treated as special days for all the residents even though some were not cognizant of what was going on. I highly recommend Goodlife Assisted living locally. After my wife passed away in January of 2020 I did have some issues with corporate but not the facility or personnel locally.

Just a quick message for those of you out there looking for an assisted living facility for your loved one. It was nothing short of a miracle that I first heard of Good Life a little over three years ago when looking for a care facility for my very sick mother. In the time that she has been a resident of Good Life, she has actually bounced back due to the wonderful care given to her by all the staff, who are actually more like family. I can't thank the workers enough for their unfailing attention to my mothers specific needs; especially now as my her health has detreated these past few weeks due to some subpar care in an ICU Unit at a local El Paso hospital. I want to let the Good Life Mangers and staff know how very much they are appreciated by myself and all my family! So, if you're looking for an assisted living facility that is safe and who is all about the care of their residents, look no further than Good Life Senior Living and Memory Care!

Mom has alzheimer's and needs 24/7 care. We feel very comfortable with her there. She is fed, loved by the staff and taken very good care of. The facilities are always clean and the meals are on a regular schedule. The community room is large and she enjoys being out there watching TV with the other residents. They occasionally play cards with her and accompany her on her smoke breaks. The staff is very responsive and easy to talk to and they tend to her needs with a smile and a great attitude.

Perfect, caring environment for my step dad who is in the beginning stages of Alzheimer's. Does not have that nasty"nursing home" smell!

What our family likes the most about the GoodLife Senior Living community is that it is a smaller community so the workers get to know the residents better. They also have a nurse working on site to help out with whatever may be needed.

The staff is concerned with wall their residence and do their best to make their stay like home. Most time when I'm there I see chicken nuggets and sandwiches being served, not a menu I prefer. Overall I would recommend Goodlife to others.

We have been there since July and have now gone through two directors so evidently there is a break in the system somewhere. The care givers are very patient and kind with my mom and she is difficult. They work to decorate and make it seem like a big home. Meals are prepared well and look good. Unfortunately the dishwasher has not worked since we have been there. That is not good with illnesses going around.

I picked this community because you helped me, and it was closr to home. I would recommend to others.

The staff at GoodLife do a great job with the limited resources they are provided. Mom is safe, clean, comfortable, and as happy as she could be without living in a home situation. That we are able to afford it without Medicaid is an absolute godsend. I am so grateful to A Place for Mom to pointing me in their direction.

Goodlife does a lot more for their residents and supplies more for them (toilet paper, tissues, etc). Food was about what you would expect from a small facility, nothing exciting, but edible. They were not consistent with their activities. They have a hard time keeping staff and often didn't have enough people there to do the activities they had on their schedule. I would recommend GoodLife to others.

They have wonderful food, but my loved one is a picky eater. They do have activities, but my loved one does not partcipate. They are attentive to the residents. Communication between different areas, could be improved. Overall, I would recommend to other families.

The staff truly loved my Mom - it was more than just care.

Sometimes they are short staffed. The food is not bad. They could do better with the residents, and offer more activities. We picked this community because, it was the only option availabe in town. Overall, it's a nice place.

I'm very happy with GoodLife. They are very caring. The place is very clean. They make an extra effort to do what it takes to care for the patient with the patient's own particular needs in mind. The place is also very well priced - the value for the money is excellent.

We had a positive tour experience at Goodlife Senior Living. The staff was courteous, prompt, and gave us a good view of the whole operation. I thought they did a nice job.

It was worthwhile. It served a purpose. At the time, it was the best thing for us to do. I would surely recommend it. The food was good. My loved one was bedridden, so she didn't end up participating in the activities. I thought the staff were exceptional. They were very friendly and helpful. They have a tough job. I have nothing bad to say. Even when Covid hit, I thought they did a really good job.
