Legacy Retirement Communities

The place looks nice. The food is like high school cafeteria fare with fancy names. They don't pay the poor employees enough and have high turnover and lack of good service. You can wait a half hour or more to be served. The internet is OK sometimes and other times it is awful. If you complain they tell you you can pay more and upgrade your plan. MY TV is sometimes good and other times there is no picture. (Very Random) I am old and all I can really enjoy is eating, watching TV, and surfing the web. I can't walk, I can't participate in most activities. They should spend more money on the food, and internet than the fancy furniture, decorations and image in the halls and lobbies.

They are more concerned about decorations than the food quality, Wi-fi speed and the TV reception. If you have problems they say you can pay 45 dollars a month extra for faster internet etc Everything adds money to the price. Every year there are increases in the rent. 60 to a 100 dollars or more. TV problems are random and they claim it is the splitters and if you are at the end of the hall you may get poor reception.

Legacy a House of SJ & it’s sister Co. Aspire Home Health let dear sweet relative rot in bed w/a completely broken femur w/o medical care for a week. Resident’s Head was Bruised & they could not move. Xrays taken in-house revealed it & still No one called 911!! WTH?!

If you value your family Member DO NOT have them reside here. My 77 year old mother with parkinsons disease was a former full time resident charged for the highest level of care and they did the bare minimum for her. They didn't understand the disease nor trued to, berated her and insulted her ( I had cameras in the room). On two occasions over an entire weekend the med techs did not give her her medicine which literally leaves her paralyzed without it. The food is sub par and the employee turn over is very high. SHe was private pay and as soon as they found out she had to go on achhhs they kicked her out. Please do not send your family member to this assisted !!

Legacy House of Logan ignored my requests for a doctor to be called for my 79 year old mother, a resident in their memory care unit. She was gasping for breath and was incoherent on [dates removed]. Staff refused to call the doctor at my request, because I am "not on the list", and then banned my calls. My mother died on [date removed]. She was gravely ill on [dates removed]. I called the Utah Ombudsman, [named removed], for a welfare check, but he failed to do his job and did not visit the facility to check on my mother. The on-staff nurse was "giving her fluids and keeping an eye on her". Now my mother is dead, from pneumonia.

NO PLACE FOR MOM!! Mom laid in bed for a week, after falling & breaking bones in her room at Legacy. She had no ability to move w/o pain. Legacy CNAs helped her up when she fell and put her back in bed. Unbelievably, NO Ambulance was called!! X-rays taken days later at Legacy showed mom had broken bones. Yet Legacy still would not call 911!! The US is not a third world country! Mom had no access to an MD’s evaluation for over a week. Assisted living is No hospital! No rehab. No nursing home! It’s NO place to lay in bed w/ broken bones for over a week w/ few pain meds & no hospital or MD’s medical attention!

Anyone thinking of moving into or having a parent move into Legacy of Centennial Hills should seriously rethink that move. The food is so horrible many residents avoid eating in the dining room opting to go out for lunch for one meal a day so as not to have to then go to the dining room for dinner. The food is greasy, cold, unappetizing and many times not what is listed on the menu or on the daily special. The dining room staff is rude and uncaring of the resident's needs. Asking for anything out of the ordinary of a plate of food set before them goes unfulfilled. The monthly rent goes up for anything a resident does or needs that requires "attention". It is horrible.

I toured this facility and asked the marketing director to show us the cheapest room available. We came back with our loved one for a second tour. The marketing director instead of finalizing our paperwork decided to show even a cheaper room to someone else. We sat in her office waiting for well over an hour. After we learned she gave the cheaper room to a walk in (we had an appointment) we walked away from this place. I'm glad this happened as we found a much better group home that made our loved one a priority. It's a really nice facility but clearly they only care about the bottom line and making as much money off people as they can.

Not great service. The food is not great. The service is slow. Internet is horrible here. They say they have internet but some days you can’t even access it. One of the receptionists told me it is because there are too many people for the plan they have. I think they should not say they have internet if it is unusable most days. The location is good.

We toured here, and the people here did not seem like the wanted my loved one to be a part of the community. We did not feel welcomed at all. They were not willing to accommodate us when we asked to tour on a weekend, nor did they get back to us when we called requesting information and updates. Overall, I was not impressed.
