When my mother had a fall while living at home she ended up in the hospital which led us to looking into a care home. Valencia is very clean and beautifully kept with caregivers that not only take excellent care of her but they go the extra mile. They take pride in their work and it shows. My mom gets exercise with the fun activities they do and we really appreciate that to help her with her strength. Valencia Home is recommended!

I am a healthcare worker that visits many group homes and I wouldn't hesitate to move a family member here. The staff is excellent and very attentive. [name removed] the manager is on top of everything with each resident. She communicates with me with any patient needs. The home is beautiful and extremely clean, but it's the staff that truly makes the place special.

Valencia Care Home is the experience level and expectations I have for my moms care. I have high expectations for my moms care. She has a Alzheimer’s and needs one on one care and attention that many care homes and facilities do not provide. Mom was in a top notch resort type memory care and was the worst experience anyone should go through. Please take caution when looking for your loved ones care home. [name removed]is the best and has the best Caregiver Manager [name removed]. She is the key to my moms care. [name removed]is on top of mom’s medical needs, how to make mom feel special, be involved, and keeps me in the know of moms care. [name removed]is patient, kind and proactive. I know mom is safe, well taken care of. I’m grateful for her to manage Valencia.

The staff at Valencia House are top notch. They are very supportive, understanding and accessible. The house is clean, and I feel confident my Mom is being taken care of well.

During covid the activities were amazing. They planted raised gardens made birdhouses and did a lot of outside activities. They provided a family-like atmosphere, they were warm understanding, and very friendly I would absolutely recommend this community to others

The caregivers at North Scottsdale Retreat cared for our mother with kindness, compassion, professional expertise and thoughtfulness. They went above and beyond their "job" and treated her as one of their own. We are so grateful and appreciative of their work.

Valencia Home has a beautiful home feel to it. Nice living room and dining area with lots of windows. Care givers have a good awareness of my Mom's needs. We have found the home to be accommodating to individual needs. They do a great job to work through any issues that may come up.

My dad has been a resident of North Scottsdale Retreat For the past two years and prior to that used the same company for in home nursing. The compassion and care he receives is beyond 5 stars!! The staff has become family to him especially in this uncertain time. The caregivers have done an exceptional job in keeping the residents safe and healthy during this time. North Scottsdale Retreat has provided excellent care for my father who upon recovering from COVID-19 moved from a large assisted living facility to the home North Scottsdale Retreat. At the home he had 24/7 care the first two weeks of his residency as he was very weak. Not only did this assist with his physical improvement but also increase his comfort level in a new move with introduction to the staff and a home setting. He was included in activities even if he could not fully participate and encouraged to spend time in the family room area instead of his room. He has been there approximately three weeks and is walking with his walker unassisted and feeding himself—he was unable to do this after his bout with COVID. He is physically doing and looking better than he has in many months (even prior to getting COVID [date removed]). We communicate with him via FaceTime weekly and it is so nice to see him smile and visit with us. The staff has been great working with us regarding his meds and therapies as well as needed personal supplies. I just cannot say enough about how excellent the care and concern is at North Scottsdale Retreat. My family and I are so thankful that our dad is in a safe and caring environment at North Scottsdale Retreat.

Amid the difficulties senior living facilities have had (normally plus dealing with the required security and medical attention in the COVID environment) the Management and Staff at Valencia have exceeded our (very high) expectations. The residents have been tested and special dedicated residents have been assigned to assure that minor illnesses do not elevate to a concern level for other residents. In addition, our Mother enjoys the Staff members, and is very fond of them. We spent professional advisors to find Valencia, especially after a previous selection turned out to be the wrong choice for Mom. We would recommend Valencia strongly.

My 96 year old father has been at North Scottsdale Retreat for the past 6 months. He had received excellent care always on a personal basis. He likes being there and has adapted to his new home. The caregivers keep me informed on a weekly basis during the COVID pandemic. Highly recommend this home for anyone in need.

During these difficult times of the Covid 19 pandemic moving an elderly parent is even more challenging!!! However the caring, efficient management and staff of North Scottsdale Retreat went above and beyond to make sure that my elderly mother received the best of care in her new home. From finding needed equipment and medications to even getting her favorite foods the management went beyond expectations to help assure the best possible care for my mother. Thank you all for all you do. I highly recommend this facility!!!

When your parent is most in need of care, respect and compassion you want the very best. The Retreat is the model. There is good food and joy to go along. Of course, there is music. The end of life should be attended with all of these. The staff should not be called "staff" but family.

I was so fortunate to find North Scottsdale Retreat. Both Management and Staff are “Family”. They take such good care of my Mom. The NSR family does so much to make sure Mom is happy. They make her favorite foods, they provide companionship, they watch baseball with her and hours of cards and Yahtzee. The level of care is excellent. They are so in tune with Mom’s health and emotional needs. I am sleeping so much better at night knowing Mom is in a caring, loving home. Thank you NSR Family for all you do for Mom and me.

This is a fantastic assisted living home. They have a nurse on staff, and they care about their residents. They always have an awake staff and two caregivers during the day. What makes them unique is they hire more caregivers if the care is needed!
