I went and visited this community in the early morning just as the residents were eating breakfast. I could tell that they had put the best stuff out during my visit of this community but it made me wonder if this was an all the time thing or just because I was visiting them. The staff that I talked too were very friendly, extremely helpful and well educated on what they were talking about, but you do know what they say "Everybody has their spiel." I was able to talk to some of the residents there so that I kinda got a knowledge for what happens during their stays there.

I have no regrets living at the Applegate Terrace Assisted Living community. I have made new friends and am close to my husband as he lives close by. If necessary I'm also assisted with transportation for short trips.

River Run is a great place but [name removed] is regressing at a fast rate. River Run functions mostly like a senior living apartment. She didn't eat her meals, she preferred microwave dinners and she did not participate in the activities. Our loved one was wandering at night and the River Run staff told us their facility wasn't capable of preventing her from leaving so this became as safety problem.

It has been a blessing to my parents. They are very well taken care of and the employees are very caring! I do not give 5's because no place can be perfect, but my parents are extremely happy.

Things at River View Lodge Assisted Living are going well, activities were a bit limited due to Judy being blind, however staff and fellow residents have come up with activities Judy can participate in that she really enjoys. Based on the experience we have had so far, we would recommend the community to other families. The staff had leadership changes, but continued to do very well by my Aunt

I think it's been very good for my aunt. She's a very social person and having other people around has made her much more active. I'm not sure about the level of care, sometimes she says they're very good, and sometimes she thinks it could be better. I'm pretty sure they're short staffed and have a high turnaround just like everyone else, but everyone I've met has been very friendly. My aunt was very pleased with the activities director. She really seemed to do a lot, but she's no longer there. Overall I think it's a good place, but expensive. I don't know how the cost compares to other similar places, but I do know they're all expensive.

I came here with a broken him recovering. It has become my home. I enjoy my time with the many folks here. Enjoy the care and feel at home.

Our tour at Applegate Terrace was nice. It was a clean and friendly place. The staff we encountered were nice. It would have been our second choice. We went with our first choice not because of anything wrong at Applegate Terrace - we just went with our gut feeling on what would be the right fit for our loved one.

We chose Applegate Terrace because of the price and we liked what we saw when we toured, we toured twice in 2 days. Sometimes it does seem a little unorganized, but if we bring up any issues or concerns it is taken care of immediately by the staff. I would recommend Applegate Terrace to others looking. Mom is happy and that is all that matters.

My mother loves it here! It’s so good to know she is being looked after. The staff is so friendly and caring.

This is a very nice facility. It would not suit our needs though because of it's size. We are looking for a smaller community.

They have a beauty salon, general store, huge theater room, outdoor patios, and a variety of activities. The community has 1-2 bedroom apartments that are very well kept and updated. Some even include a balcony. The building was a hospital that was completely remodeled to apartment units and an attached nursing care and rehab. They have a few patios outdoors and one of them is designated for smoking. We are very happy that they offer transportation to doctors appointments. They offer regular outings to the grocery store, Family Dollar, and to the casino. The community has a lower level with a bar area and pool table. They serve non-alcoholic drinks but you can bring your own cocktails if you choose.

assisted living will not work per it is more independent living than assisted- tour full care side of building which may be a possibility

It was a very nice visit. I believe the opportunity for our mother to have her sister live with her in this type of facility is what encouraged us to add her to their waiting list.

The Applegate Terrace Assisted Living was a very beautiful community. The staff was very kind and informative while taking me around the complex. The reason we did not choose this place is because my mother did not like the stairway.

Intake of evaluating loved ones is poorly managed, nor do they provide the quality of services required. Billing is far behind. We're only now getting billed for services provided months ago (including unknown services we were unaware were being provided).

My mother was in this facility for 5 1/2 months. Her apartment wasn't cleaned . The staff did not respond to a call button emergency of another resident . The residents who were near called 911. The food was served on plastic Styrofoam and was cold. Very bad smelling like soiled pants . All the time. No action by administration when we repeatedly brought up very serious issues. New hires lasted maybe a week. It should be shut down and reopened by a company who cares. There are 64 possible residents . When my mother came there were 23 and by the time we found another wonderful facility they were down to 14. I can't emphasize enough how terrible that place was. We moved my mom out in September of 2022.
