Things have gone very well with The Arbors so far, I'd give them top marks across the board. They made the transition very easy, the staff have all been friendly, and the facility itself is well kept and clean.

No place is perfect, but The Arbors has a lot to offer. The staff is involved with the residents and do not just move them along. On site medical staff is a great asset. Any issues with wellness (and they have been small) are quickly resolved. The activities in the main area are usually well attended. A key to any place is whether or not friendships are made. For my parent, the Arbors has worked. Any issue that arose was resolved and most times resolved very well.

They did a great job at The Arbors at Bohemia. It's a very nice looking, clean community and the staff were all incredibly friendly and caring. They show a sincere sensitivity to the family and to the needs of each resident.

They're doing a great job at The Arbors at Westbury! It's an attractive, well maintained facility, with a very pleasant atmosphere. The staff have all been very friendly and professional, and I feel like they take very good care of all the residents. They're very attentive and all of my Mom's needs are being quickly and efficiently. The woman who helped us out during the touring process, Monica Wiedeman, was particularly helpful! I toured quite a few facilities and she was by far the most approachable, informative, and helpful person I worked with. One thing that that really made The Arbors stand out to me is their all-inclusive pricing for care, you don't need to worry about your bill skyrocketing as care needs increase. It's a big relief knowing that my Mom is somewhere where I know she will be safe, well taken care of, and happy!

Wonderful staff made my father feel that he was home. A range of activities including entertainment, trips , classes and clubs always provided interest. All in all, a positive experience for my loved one. Very dedicated staff members.

Tomorrow will be one week since Mom moved in. So far everyone is very responsive to her needs. They were very accommodating to make sure her room had the shower set up to suit her needs. She thinks the food is very good! From the beginning it was a joy working with the Arbors. Christopher W. was very thorough during our phone conversation in going over what services the Arbors provides to ensure that I knew if it would be a good fit BEFORE I went for a tour. During the tour Case Manager Judith A. went over all the details so there were no surprises. The monthly fees are very predictable AND VERY reasonable (much less than other places I toured). Mom's already set up with occupational therapy and physical therapy. So far so good :)

We needed to find a safe place for my mother who has macular degeneration & needs more socialization than she was getting in her apartment. She was not able to cook for herself or complete many other activities of daily living safely. The Arbors at Bohemia had the largest Movie/TV screen than any other home we looked at (6 others) and the fact that it's all on one level (no elevators) made it a winner. I don't think my mother would have been able to manage using an elevator because of her low vision. The Arbors Bohemia staff have been very helpful & considerate. Everyone from the housekeeps & maintenance crew to the people in administation have been cheerful as they lend a hand or just have to answer questions we have. My mom says they're keeping her busy & has already been out on 2 trips. She is adjusting well & we as her children are so relieved. It's so nice to say good bye to her and know she is safe. Priceless!

I'm very pleased with them, she is adjusting very well. They are very open to suggestion. What they tell you when you go in changes once you actually get in there, but not that much. They are loaded with activities. The food could probably be stepped up a little but in the span of things it's fine. In general ask a lot of questions assume nothing. Don't feel guilty because your doing the best thing you can for whoever needs the help. Our initial invite and tour was very informative and helpful.

They have been doing very well. They have a calandar with activities and events. They are very enthusiastic, and very clean. The dining room was very nice and newly renovated. When I call for updates, they call back and give updates right away. They have just been great.

She loves it! It's great! There are lots of activities and I can't think of anything that could be improved.

The Arbors is a really great facility. The staff could not be more attentive to the residences. They seem to really care about taking pride in their work from the really nice food menu to all the activities provided. They always seem to be cleaning and keeping the home in safe and excellent shape.

It's so excellent! They have such wonderful, caring, kind, and compassionate staff. It's a fabulous place. My brother is so happy there. I never dreamed that he would embrace his life there the way that he has. As soon as we went to The Arbors and met with Chirstine I knew this was the place for my brother. It's so warm and welcoming. There is a beautiful corner room with a fireplace where they have all the activites. He's got a little terrace and privacy wall in his room. There is a 24hr bistro with coffee, snacks and a tv in there. Everywhere that you go, every nook and corner is warm and welcoming. It's Catholic centered, it's veteran centered with verteran's meetings once a month and a van to take you to service. It's the perfect place! I would highly recommend it to anyone! It's the best of everything that I've seen and it's exceeded all my expectation.

We chose this community because it was more reasonably priced then other comparable community. It is a little further our on Long Island but it makes it convenient for me to visit. The room we got seems to be bigger the other communities we looked at rooms. The rooms are just bigger and more spacious.

The Director was prepared for us (alreasdy had a folder with our name on it). He explained everything in a clear and professional manner. The tour was outstanding.

The director was very helpful with lots of information. Tour was excellent. She even gave us some options with hoiw to ease my Mom into her community, i.e., Sunday ice cream socials, a week's to a 30-day stay, etc.

We chose The Arbors because I liked the building, it is a smaller, home-like setting. Also, all of the medications, help with showers, dressing, etc. those are not add on fees it is all inclusive. The room sizes here are fair, my mother does has a private room with a double bed. They do have a nice ding room, activities room, bistro, so my mom is actually not in her room a whole lot. They have been alerting us right away if we are able to visit and we have recently been able to go inside for the visits. I would definitely recommend to others looking.

I would recommend The Arbors. I really like the cleanliness and the staff there take care of the residents well. The room is adequate for my loved one. Some of the activities include: movie night, lunch out, poker night, and more. There are activities each hour for those that want to participate.
