Arcadia Management

We are very happy with this community. Mom loves being here. Mom has gotten involved with the singing, the bingo and some of the other activities. Mom has become more social. She loves the food and the dining. The community is always clean and that is a bonus. We picked here because they came highly recommended by some of our friends.

This place is absolutely awesome. I could not be more pleased. They are excellent at everything. The food is delicious and dad licks the plate clean. The staff does a great job taking care of dad. He was having some issues transitioning, but now everything is fine. I can't say enough good things about this place. They are phenomenal. When me and my wife need a place to go this is where it will be.

We love the Arbors at Hauppauge. My adoptive mom has been there for one year and she is healthier and happier than she has been in years. The Arbors staff brought her back. Mom was lethargic and very weak. She was not eating well and seemed to be giving up on living. One year later, she is hearty and hale; she has gained weight and is walking well and standing tall. The care she receives at the Arbors is excellent. The staff is dedicated, professional and caring. They obviously love her. I am forever in their debt. I live 1500 miles away and I am impressed at the quality of her care.

This community is beautiful. My grandmother is really enjoying the activities offered such as games, movie night, and exercise programs. The staff is taking excellent care of her, they are very friendly and always answer all of my questions. It was actually my grandmother's birthday a week ago and for a small fee, they let us rent a private room to celebrate with her and have dinner. Her room is very comfortable, it has its own bathroom and even has a balcony.

I am so happy that we selected this place. The staff is very warm and the doctors are very helpful.

My mom is very Happy staying at The Arbors at Hauppauge. She has a great semi private room .The room has a wall divider which makes it very private. It is a great idea for all to follow. Not too many Seniors can afford private rooms but this is the next best thing. The food is great and they have many activities. She feels at home and comnfortable.The staff is marvelous. I highly recomended.

Aracadia Management is really wonderful. The staff is very attentive and professional. It was the best decision my husbands family ever made. I know they do have a veterans plan. For any veteran that wasn't in world war 2 per say I would love to see them off discounts. That would help a lot. Overall I am very pleased here.

When my Dad passed away in March, 2015....I knew my mom would have a difficult time adjusting to such a deep loss. My aunt contacted A Place for Mom on my behalf and gave me the information to contact Tracy Abamont. Immediately after speaking with Tracy I knew I was being guided in the right direction. She walked me through the process and arranged for numerous tours for my husband and I to visit so we could decide on the right assisted living facility. At first I had strong ideas of what I thought would be best for my mom...yet Tracy knew exactly what would be best for not only my mom...but my immediate family also. After visiting numerous places....we decided on the Arbors in Islandia for the home for my mom after speaking with Susan LaTorre. I thought Islandia would be too far away from where I live but after giving Susan a few minutes to explain the transitions neighborhood with the concierge level of caretaking...I knew that was the place for mom. It has been about one month since mom moved in and she is loving it! Thank you to Tracy and Susan for helping me make the right decisions for my mom....I truly needed their guidance and expertise. I can't express in words how blessed I am to see my mom smiling and laughing once again.

My husband and I were very impressed with this beautiful facility but even more impressed with the kindness and compassion of Susan LaTorre who gave us a ton of information and provided us with a tour. Many thanks to Susan!

Mom has been here for a month. The staff is great, mom enjoys food and they have a great activity planner. I think we made a great decision with the Arbord Bohemia

So far they have been wonderful. From the minute he got in there, they have been nothing but accommodating. Totally wonderful. There have been no complaints about food either. I liked that the price was all inclusive, there were no hidden costs.

This place has been a good fit for us, though the activities could use just a bit of improvement.

The Arbors at Westbury is a very nice place. Very clean and well kept. They could improve by having their staff educated as to what the rules and regulations are, as one of their staff members completely misinformed me on what to expect which created a few issues. Other than that everything has been great. Everyone there is very friendly and helpful.

We're very pleased with how things have turned out at The Arbors at Islandia! They really went above and beyond helping my loved one get settled and introduced to the community. They made sure she had some friends, and was familiar with all of the activities and services that they offer. The facility itself is very nice, well kept, and clean, and they do a great job looking out for the people who live here!

We tried the Arbors at Westbury for 2 weeks at first as a trial run for my dad. After the 2 weeks, we picked him up and by that evening, he wanted to go back. We made the arrangements and a week later, dad was happy as can be to be back at The Arbors. He made lots of friends, is participating in activities, loves the food, and adapted very well.

Glad we found this place.

I toured here when I was looking. I felt the community was very low key and low pressure. It was well managed and the residents seemed happy and the staff friendly. All in all it was a good tour, and I liked them.

We visited this location when we were looking into care options for a loved one. We really liked the location, and the facility itself was small and focused. The staff were attentive to the needs of the residents, and they offer multiple levels of care and housing options.

My mom is staying here and she has not been here for a very long time. So far we are very happy with the cleanliness and friendly staff. Value is medium but the service and caregivers are excellent.

Things have gone very well with The Arbors at Bohemia, we're very pleased with them! They were so helpful throughout the whole transition and move in process, they made things very easy for our family. They even handled things down to hanging pictures and arranging the furniture! The staff here are all very friend, I haven't met one person who was anything less than friendly. We also liked that this community is all one floor, that is something Mom was very interested in.
