Avamere

I'm very happy with it. The staff is very friendly, and they keep it very clean. They are very responsive and attentive. They have quite a few activities. The food is really very good. The biggest reason I chose them, was that they had an option so that the cost of his care would remain the same and the price would not change, it was the special they were running at the time. They all seemed to know his name quite quickly, they will always say hi in the hall and see if anyone needs anything, and do that first.

We were only there a few days. We didn’t really use any of the extra services. I think they were – the caregivers were very loving and very attentive. I think the food was good – they tried to tailor it to her needs.

This was a nice property with very professional staff. We liked this community alot!

We are exceptionally pleased with Aspen Ridge. Mom is mostly settled and becoming familiar and active in the community. We have been impressed with the facilities , activities and staff. All of the staff have been friendly and helpful in getting Mom settled and comfortable.

This place was fantastic, and we would recommend it to anyone! During the search process we had 3 tours arranged, and after seeing this one first we didn't feel the need to look any further. Everybody here, the management, the nurses, and the care workers, were all wonderful people. And they're very good about communication, both with the families and with the medical professionals they work with. Initially our loved one was very ambivalent about moving here, as he was afraid it would be a cold, clinical environment he'd never be comfortable in. But once he how friendly the staff were, and how the other residents were just other people enjoying their lives he really settled in. He made friends, and really started enjoying what they had to offer.

I found this community for a friend . It seems to be very clean. As far as my contact with their activities programs, I think my friend thought they were very good. The staff also worked with me when I was working on solutions for my mom.

Julie, who gives the tours, was very open and honest about the services offered. She introduced me to the staff and people who lived there. Everyone seemed happy and content and happy to see and converse with Julie. My Mom lived there for only a short time before passing away, however, she enjoyed the food, didn't get involved in any of the activities. I enjoyed the communication with the staff on her medications and needs. The people I talked to who had members of their families there always highly recommended the facility and everyone I ran into was friendly. I would highly recommend this facility to someone who is looking for an easy going, welcoming community.

She liked the staff, but did not care for the traffic.

After Linda from A Place for Mom recommended the community we went to visit it and our loved one was very impressed. They are a fantastic community and they did a great job. They are more expensive then other communities but if money is not an issue this is the best community. Our loved one was pleased with everything, the food, care, and the staff. They were very cooperative and really accommodating to us and our loved one. Overall we were pleased with them and would recommend them to anyone.

Will more than likely choose this one.

Clean, nice area for residents. Fresh smelling. Shared room is fine. I would like to take my mom for lunch. Just a little too far from my home but that can be ok if the fit was right.

The Independent Retirement Wing is perfect for mom!

my m-i-l loved this place. Very knowledgeable person led her around. The place was extremely clean and well-cared for. The units were attractive. Overall a very positive experience.

Some of the programs for activities that we were told about haven't come back due to the pandemic. I highly recommend you go visit. We've had a good experience with our loved one being here. The staff are very nice and friendly. They are accommodating the residents in the dining room.

We chose Avamere South Hill because of the location. We also interviewed the staff members and liked what we saw. we liked the facility itself and the set up of the rooms. They do have different options on room sizes and they are more spacious than some of the other ones we had looked into. Overall, I would recommend to others who are looking.

I enjoy living here at Avamere. I really enjoy and appreciate their staff. They are always helpful and full of fun!! The food is really good and the other residents are fun and very accepting of new folks. Come and join the fun we are a great group of people.

Friendly, caring staff. Everyone pitches in quickly to meet residents needs as they spot them. Sometimes the residents and/or visitors need to speak up so busy staff can recognise a need so they can help. Residents sometimes want to do a chore by themselves for which they need help/supervision for SAFETY sake. Those residents sometimes think they are imposing on staff. ie. Unsteady standing, walking, showering weak or elderly residents.

All the caregivers that I have met, as well as the administrative staff and med techs have been very responsive to my Mom's needs and to our concerns whenever we have expressed them. I feel that my Mom is well taken care of, and the staff is very attentive and on top of things. She feel at home and seems to be happy to be there.

My mother has really grown to appreciate living at the Stafford. The staff has been wonderful and made the transition ad good as possible. The residents tend to be on the bit stuffy/reserved side but there seems to be more regular people moving in lately. There does seem to be a bit of turnover with residents as people that don't "fit in" don't stay too long but there's no contracts which makes relocating easy enough. The location is fantastic with plenty of walking areas and fields nearby. The food/restaurants are also wonderful and my mother does very little cooking at this point.
