This week I have had to put my husband at 72 years of age into a memory care facility. The director [name removed] was amazing explaining expectations for patient as well as for family. She has made this transition better than I could have ever imagined. Thank you [name removed]!

It is a wonderful place and my parents are settling in. Even with my mom being so difficult they are trying different things to help her feel comfortable for all the care she needs. I would recommend to others.

This place is warm and welcoming. The food and activities are great. I attended the family night dinner and was impressed with the level of professional service and atmosphere. It's hard to find a place that preserves the social interactions of the residents but this place nails it. My husband and I are very pleased with the staff and management. It's definitely a must see!

The staff is awesome. The activities, food and care services are simply amazing. My mother is very pleased with the staff and services she receives and that gives me comfort knowing she's happy. This place is truly a gem!

We are very happy with Brookdale. Especially with the care. Bingo is the only activity that my mom has done. That's by her choice. She's still weak but getting stronger and will enjoy other activities they offer there. When it comes to the meals the reason we did not give it a 5 was only because my mom is such a light eater and is sometimes served way too much food.

What we really like about Barton House is that it is not a "big facility" it feels much more homelike. The rooms have very large backyard patios that are easily accessible. Based on the experience we have had so far with this community, we would definitely recommend them to other families looking for a place for their elderly loved ones.

All of my daily and weekly CHORES are taken care of. Enjoying the varied activies, some of which I would never have imaged that I would have taked part in while living independently. Very friendly staff.

I recently toured with Brookdale Clairemont. Their staff are very friendly. I was able to eat lunch with them and it was great. Good atmosphere and very inviting. We toured right during the residents tie dyeing T-Shirts. I thought this was an awesome activity. We talked with lots of management including [name removed] the Marketing Manager, [name removed]the Executive Director, [name removed]the Activities Manager, and [name removed] the Business Office Manager. They all really impressed us. We will be choosing this community for our dad.

Brookdale Clairemont has been very good. According to my loved one, the food could be a little better, but my loved one likes living there. Lots of activities offered. There is great staff communication with the family so far. My loved one doesn't need much aid at this time. Bingo, poker, card games, dominoes, lunch/scenic outings, walking club, happy hour, ice cream socials, guest choirs and more are some of the activities offered to the residents to participate in.

The hunt began when my uncle required further care. We went to several locations, but the moment he stepped inside Brookdale Clairemont, he knew it was the place he wanted to call home. There was a good vibe in the air. There were a lot of things going on. They were quite friendly. The social gatherings are a lot of fun. They form lifetime connections and receive 24-hour assistance. My father even begged me to relocate him here from [removed] so he could live with his brother, but the location is too far away from us for that to happen.

We did not plan well and A Place For Mom helped immensely. We needed to move dad from Wisconsin to San Diego with only a few weeks notice I initially toured facilities I found on Google and they were all very expensive, or after touring we would realize the facility could to accommodate my dads needs. We called A Place for Mom and they referred us to places we had not heard of. Initially I thought they wouldn’t work but after touring Brookdale Clairemont we were sold! Thank goodness we found a great place that we could afford in a short period of time.! We’ve been here almost 2 months now and still impressed with the great service he is receiving. I’m would highly recommend adding A Place for Mom to your search to find places you did not know about! Thank You!

I have been living at Brookdale Clairemont for 4.5 years. I am very comfortable here. The facility is a decent size...not too big, not too small. The food is good. The activities and outings are fun. Staff are caring and kind.

My dad was in this facility for approximately two years. He was in memory care for a year of that time. I can't speak highly enough of the staff. The care team was amazing. They always kept dad clean and kept me informed of any setbacks. They were also very compassionate and truly loved him. The activities coordinator was superior. Always keeping the seniors engaged from games, entertainment or just conversations. The chef always made great meals and would check in on a personal level with the seniors too. I really appreciate this community and how they pulled together to help take care of my dad in his time of need.

I am impressed with the food. The activities is good. The value for the money, it's higher than it should be. I picked this community because of the ambiance, location, staff, security,patient care and the communication of the staff with the residents, and loved ones

We toured with Atria Kingwood and it seemed like a wonderful place. IT was a very nice and settled, calming facility. The staff all seemed to be extremely loving and caring.

The two big things for us they helped make our decision on Brookdale Clairemont was the price range for the quality of care. Also how the interacted with our family when we initially toured and how they still continue to communicate with our family now that our loved one has moved in. Based on our experience so far we would absolutely 110% recommend this community to other families.

The staff is great. They demonstrate kindness and flexibility. Everybody has a smile on their face and is kind. The whole place has a positive atmosphere. It's a safe place for my loved one with dementia. He seems to like the food. And I have peace of mind knowing he's well cared for there.

We thought Brookdale Clairemont was nice, and we enjoyed the tour. It was just a little farther from our desired location.

If I could rate their friendliness higher I would. The process was smooth for us. The staff was incredibly helpful and welcoming. I would recommend Atria to others for their loved ones. This location was close to the same neighborhood that my loved one was used to and this was an added bonus for us.

Atria was an extremely nice facility but way out of our price range.
