I went with my aunt to find my grandmother a new home. The gardens of scottsdale sets the standard very high. When we arrived, it was very welcoming.The staff at the front desk was very attentive, as was the rest of the staff behind the desk. We stayed for lunch and it was very good food. The residents were very friendly as well as the waitress that waited on us. I would highly recommend this community to visit before you look at any others.

For the Oaks, I am very happy with everyone there. They have a fantastic staff and they kept me calm and focused throughout the process because we had to move fast. I love their 2 bedroom apartment. It's very small for them, but they are adjusting. They have only been there a few weeks, so they are still adjusting.

The original representative [name removed] was excellent. She listened and asked questions and made a recommendation based on mom not on what might work for them. On the tour all staff were friendly and helpful and all the residents seemed in good spirits.

They have wonderful activities program, especially for independent resident outings. Most recently a helicopter ride was offered (very short up and down but still cool!) but bowling and other outings I haven't seen elsewhere are offered consistently. One unique thing is that linen laundry is included but clothes laundry is an extra charge per load if independent resident wants Winslow to do - clothes laundry can possibly included when level of care is higher. I had never seen that distinction before. Their apartments are very spacious for the prices. Food is great, a lot of staff have been there for several years, they are very communicative with family about care level changes and facilitate/partner with doctors and PT/OT that come consistently to facility so we don't have to worry about finding/bringing in 3rd party.

My parents were in independent living, and Dad had some falls and ended up in assisted living. Mom was ok on her own for a couple of years and then had to go into memory care. The staff has been wonderful, trying to keep Mom active and engaged and getting Dad over to have dinner with her. Memory care is a whole different thing if you don't have experience with it. They can't have personal care products and many other things for their safety . They can't smoke (sorry Mom). It's a lot to understand, especially if you are navigating power of attorney and other legal things, packing up their house, etc.I am so glad I feel my Mom is safe while I try to tackle all of the other stuff. This level of care is Expensive! For an agitated person with Alz...it is worth knowing they are safe. Often times my mom thinks she is on vacation.One day I found her drinking virgin coladas and listening to a one-man band singing 'Country Roads'. Another day I showed up to find out she had been to the Botanical Gardens.

Today we celebrated Thanksgiving . The food was delicious and presentation was perfect. The staff made everyone feel welcome. I love the family atmosphere this place has. I feel comfortable that my mother in law is being well taken care of.

My mother lives here, The staff take care of the residents and family members when they visit, I highly recommend this facility for your family member if they need placement. The Nurses [name removed] and [name removed] are the best as far as I'm concerned.

My mom has been at The Groves for almost 3 months. Our family have always been treated with the utmost respect. Everyone, including the residents are so sweet and kind. The food is amazing as well! I highly recommend The Groves!

This was a very Beautiful facility with Friendly staff and very Pleasant surroundings. It was Clean and welcoming. The Residents i saw all seemed happy and engaged. The model apartment was very nice with a lot of storage.

My dad lives at Sandia Vista, and I spend a lot time visiting him there. I 100% recommend it. The whole place has a relaxed, positive, homey energy. Things seem well-run, and staff are competent, hard-working, supportive, and kind. There are lots of activities, outings, and special events that make the place fun and help people connect. Hot food is available all day, so my dad can get good meals whenever he needs them. The chefs cook food from scratch - the fresh cookies and soups are great! Residents seem happy and engaged, and have been friendly and welcoming to my dad. The apartments are big and well-maintained and have full kitchens. The whole property is gated and fenced for security, and the grounds have lots of beautiful, mature trees. My dad has been much happier and healthier since he moved to Sandia Vista, and I feel like he’s in a very good place.

1. All 5 to every dept. I am very impressed with their willingness to respond to any questions you might have or solutions to problems. People skills are A++++. And it starts from the top person and is seen through the techs and everyone who works in Memory Care. I have yet to meet someone who does not have a smile and positive helpful attitude. Kudos to everyone.

We had a great time visiting with [name removed] and [name removed] while touring the facility. The memory care unit is very well thought out and costs are kept simple. The building is older but they have kept everything clean and it appears as though they are spending the effort to update. [name removed] was super patient with my mom who has dementia and does not like change. We will be visiting again and look forward to moving forward with my mother into the facility.

We were recommended to tour "The Groves - Memory Care" community by my Mom's current Assisted Living community Director of Health Services. We dropped into "The Groves" and met with [name removed] to discuss my Mom's care needs, find out more about the community, to tour the Memory Care area, and look at available Memory Care rooms. [name removed] was very compassionate & supportive about the current memory decline situation we are helping Mom to deal with. [name removed] provided lots of good information about the community, encouraged us to ask lots of questions, and then provided us with an outstanding tour of the Memory Care Area and rooms so we had a good understanding of the Memory Care area and what Mom/Us could expect. Staff were friendly and attentive to residents as we walked the facility. We were introduced to Executive Director [name removed] who gave us a warm welcome, inquired about Mom, and shared she hoped we would choose "The Groves" as Mom's next community. Overall, very impressed!

Mom was only there a couple of days last year. We would surely recommend Thunderbird. They are Very reasonable price and overall good quality care.

I’ve been living at The Groves for over a year and I absolutely love it here! I’ve been in long term care for over 15 yrs and The Groves is by far the best place I’ve lived. From the amazing food to the multitude of activities alongside an amazing leadership team and a care staff that truly cares. The thing that makes The Groves stand out to me is that we are truly like a family here. Also, the Groves offers every level of care for you or your loved one. Truly, it's amazing here. And that’s coming from a resident with a lot of experience! Come in and take a tour so you can see for yourself!

The food is very good. Chef likes feedback. Housekeeper is thorough. Staff is very accommodating. Since it is new, there have been a few glitches but quickly resolved. Very happy that we chose this place.

The Groves in Goodyear is a beautiful, clean and bright facility. The staff is friendly and is always willing to answer any questions. The caregivers are so patient and attentive to the residents. They treat them with dignity and kindness. The food is also very good with a nice variety of choices. I’m extremely happy to have found this residence with the added bonus of being close to home.

We have been pleased with everything so far. Dad feels he is in the right place for him. He gets a kick out of how many new friends and activities he now has on a daily basis. The only negative we have had was a change in management had just happened two weeks before we signed. There was a dispute of a couple of hundred difference in our original quote and our actual price given when we signed. This was dealt with by meeting us in the middle. That was fine. The new management seems good so far.

I’ve been here for 5 years and i love it here i wouldn’t change a thing! it’s a very homey residency! i enjoy being here and all the friends i’ve made in the past 5 years! the employees are amazing! they treat us like one big family!
