Both administrative and care staff are very helpful. My mother-in-law states she is comfortable and well-cared for. Rooms are a bit small, but bathrooms are very large and easily handicapped-accessible. Residents can get hair cut at the salon and have TVs in their room. Staff constantly check in on the residents.

Smoky Springs is a welcoming and happy community. It's my home away from home. I would give all the stars for happiness & healthy residents. I have enjoyed every day safely, comfortable, inviting community, the activities are fantastic. The resiliency of the staff to go above and beyond is unlike any other. I have enjoyed the dubious honor of being a resident here. The staff does not put things off, they take care of whatever need or issue immediately with grace, understanding and compassion. I live my best life here with a staff and community that support and gratefulness.

I have lived here for 7 years and in the last year it has been extra special. I enjoy the personal interaction with the residents,activities, and safety and security. The staff is stellar [names removed] truly care about the residents well being! I'm amazed to the extent Barclay House has gone to upgrade our already amazing community. I highly recommend Smoky Springs to anyone who wants their loved one to be safe, secure, and enjoy an active thriving senior life!

Late this summer, an urgent need for an assisted living place arose for my sister. Barclay was an answer to our prayer and provided some respite for my sister as she navigated some challenges that prevented her from living independently. When her next step became clear, she had a hard time saying goodbye to the staff who she had gotten to know and trust. We are forever grateful for Director [name removed] work to help us navigate admission. Barclay was such a warm and wonderful home, even for a short time.

When I visited I was very happy to meet all the people here. The residents were friendly, the staff [names removed] are great and very understanding and helpful. We are so happy that we moved from another Community and I am extremely satisfied. My apartment is on the end and I’ve grown huge tomatoes and everyone has enjoyed the fruits of my labor of love!

I can’t say enough upon entering Smoky Springs. It was bright, happy and inviting. [name removed]the Sales Manager, greeted us with a huge smile and a positive outlook on life. She’s a refreshing presence! She introduced us to the General Manager who was very busy, yet took time to greet and welcome us into Smoky Springs. We had an amazing lunch with outstanding people. The residents at Smoky Springs are REALLY happy. It’s so nice to see people loving people. The apartments were clean and neat! The housekeepers were on point. I did not like the outdated cabinets in most of the apartments. [name removed]was happy to help. She showed us a few that had been renovated and we loved the new white cabinets. Those are classic and stylist instead of 1985 looking farm style. Overall even with the cabinets, this place is wonderful. The staff is friendly and I very much believe that they love their residents. A lot of people say it, I believe the staff at Smoky. The food was excellent as well! 10 ??

We followed this team from out of the area because we believed in them so much. We can never thank them enough. From the entire process of touring to moving in and the care my father received we will be eternally grateful.

My first contact was with [name removed], and she answered all my questions, She anticipated issues with me moving from From Colorado Springs. She helped me pick the apartment. It was best suited for me and worked with me to pick an apartment that was within my budget. She was fantastic.

I cannot speak highly enough of Laurel Grove. From the moment I visited, I felt welcomed by the staff. The environment here is beautiful, clean, and truly feels like home. What stands out most is the sense of community – the residents are active, engaged, and treated with the utmost respect. The staff works to ensure that each resident's needs are met, fostering a supportive and friendly atmosphere. The facilities are well-maintained, and there are plenty of amenities that make life easier and more enjoyable. The food served is better than many of the restaurants we have tried! It's such a comfort knowing that mom is in a place where her independence is respected, yet help is available when needed. Laurel Grove has given our family peace of mind, and we couldn’t be more grateful.

I chose River's Edge by Barclay House because l am not a driver; River's Edge offers transportation to appointments and outings within the community. It also provides three meals a day and weekly housekeeping. Residents are given a mobile device to wear at all times in case medical assistance is needed. This is an independent-living facility, and the staff do not handle medical issues; staff is available from 8:00 AM until 7:30 PM.

It is a great place. They like others places are sometimes short handed.

The Legacy 6 Synergy staff are AWESOME, PHENOMENAL?? Both agencies are very professional. They onboard their team right away and begin their services very quickly. The owner and team leader (Rachel and Ashanti) are very thorough, they ensure that their staff are well trained and follow up consistently on service quality and the delivery of services. I am extremely pleased and impressed Light House Pointe Va is a very caring, kind and professionally run Independent Care facility. The Ad missions Specialist is superb and the price is quite market friendly!

Cleanliness still gets a good rating, even though there were tiny roaches. We chose this community because of the availability, friendliness and location.

Set in tall, treed, landscaped quiet corner, but close to commercial areas. Staff supportive and friendly, low turnover. Private balconies and patios. Airy, light interiors. Ala carte services to upgrade to assisted living leve l.

I recently visited and was thoroughly impressed. The woman I met with was exceptional—candid, honest, and genuinely invested in ensuring all my questions were answered. Our conversation felt like chatting with a trusted friend, which put me at ease. The staff was incredibly friendly, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere throughout the community. It truly felt like a place where care and compassion are top priorities. I left feeling confident that this is a wonderful environment for loved ones. Highly recommend!

My mom moved in a few months ago. The staff and residents are very friendly and welcoming. She made friends very quickly, which made me feel comfortable with her being there. Her favorite activities to participate in are crochet and bingo. The food is great and the transportation is a great asset as well. I highly recommend this place for your loved one.

What we like the most about Anthology of Charlottesville is the layout, the food, and the staff. Based on the experience we have had so far, we would recommend this community to other families

We chose this community because it was very new, clean, classy and very friendly staff and it was only five years old. At times items on the menu were unavailable and some food was too spicy. They have had a lot of staff turnover which could have contributed to the lower rating for meals and dining experience.
